Mold blown and pinched glass carafe together with five shot glasses designed by Ronald Stennett Willson in 1954 and produced by #Swedish Company #Bjorkshult and distributed by Wuidart&Co between 1955-1957.
Sennet was a design dilettante in 50s London. He opened a design shop in the west end, and was the Conran of his day. His design was heavily influenced by Scandinavian modernism - which was still seen as ‘exotic ‘ in 50s Britain
The piece is in the steel/smoke colourway. It stands 15.8cms in height and is the smaller of the two sizes that were produced in this design. The glasses are very delicate each standing 5cms in height with a rim diameter of 4cms. Im told that the fifth glass was intended to be used a cover. The condition is good, free from chips and cracks. Smooth polished pontil base to decanter. A great addition to any contemporary interior or mid century glass collection.
