West German factory pottery from the 1960s is very evocative of the time, and this is aloveley example of art pottery. The vase is marked Bay Keramik from West Germany and made in the 1960s.
The vase has a pop of color - and is less gaudy then some of the age - it screams 1960s / 70s sophistication. The orange spots of colour have been sprayed on, almost graffiti style - which gives it’s a lively feel. Balanced by the gilt edging.
It is a great vase with a gorgeous ombré glaze effect of mottled grey, with a bright pop of orange.
There is also gold trim around top and bottom .
Underneath it is signed in raised lettering , WEST-GERMANY 535-17.
