A Maling pottery bowl Gondola shaped decorated in Maling pattern number 6605/ - the Harlequin hand traced rose pattern.
The outside is decorated in diamonds of white, black, red, green and rose, highly glazed finish; with the inside decorated in a pearlescent lustre pink.
The Harlequin design became popular in modernist art and design in the first half of the 20th century- including paintings by Picasso, which he exhibited at the time of this original design - pre WW11
Natural ware to the edges but no chips, or scratches to glaze to the exterior.
