A Vintage Modular candle holder* by Ceasar Stoffi & Fritz Nagel from the 1960s.
Designed by Ceasar Stoffi & produced by Fritz Nagel’s own company. Eventually they were mass produced under licence from the 1970s.
In the Bauhaus tradition of modular design, beautifully organic forms can be made by configuring the candle holders - part game, part sculpture.
These provide a sophisticated icon of Midcentury design. Which are striking as sculpture, or loaded with candles.
The candleholder is like a mecano set for creative play. This is an excellent starter set - but beware - they are addictive.
