A lovely painting of 1960s design from both sides of the ‘Iron Curtain’ of midcentury design. An iconic Swedish vase, hand-blown in the late 1950s 60s and Designed by Arthur Percey for Gullaskruf, a Swedish manufacturer of glass (the vase has the remnant of the original makers label). And the slightly more decorative vase from the East German glass maker Lauscha.
We think they make an interesting pairing, capturing an interesting period in European history:the free flowing drop shape of the Percey vase, and the slightly more stylized and decorative GDR design
