Japanese and Scandinavian, have many crossovers, and confluences in design. No more so than in glassmaking.
Wonderful colours, red, blue and clear, and nuanced shades in the glass. Bubbles form part of the organic effect in the design
The style of these vases, exported under the ‘Rossini’ brand name, are similar to Coquille by Paul Kedelv for Flygsfors (Sweden). And have the exuberance of Italian Murano glass making too.
Produced by the Tajima Foundry in Japan in the 1970s. Has the remains of label in place.
Wonderful free-form design, licking Flames, or petals, opening for the sunlight - you take your pick.
I love how they look in a group of similar Japanese glass vases too.
