Nyman is in the collections of many international museums - including Museum of Modern Art, New York.
She is famous for introducing bubbles in her work - and free form glass making.
This is a very good example of free-form Finnish mid-century design. Usually catalogued as GN16 Light Brown glass.
The design year is 1947, and is acid signed to base: G. Nyman, Nuutajärvi Notsjö 1947.
The vase has a surface bubble in the inside.
