Michael Harris was a British glassmaker who was active in Malta from 1962 to 1972. He is considered to be one of the founders of the Malta Glass School, and his work is known for its use of simple, geometric shapes and clean lines. This vase has a strong influence of Boda
Harris's designs were influenced by a number of different sources, including Scandinavian art and design. He was particularly interested in the work of the Swedish glassmaker Ingeborg Lundström, and his own work often features the use of clear or light-colored glass with delicate, almost ethereal qualities.
The Scandinavian influence on Mdina glass is evident in the work of other glassmakers, such as Eric Dobson and Vicente Boffo. These glassmakers also used simple, geometric shapes and clean lines in their work, and they often experimented with new techniques and designs.
Today, Mdina glass is still made using traditional methods, and the influence of Scandinavian art and design is still evident in the work. The glass is often used to create decorative objects, such as vases, bowls, and plates. It is also used to create jewelry and other accessories.
Stridently modern, influenced by the designs of Kosta Boda
