Beautifully sinewy vase produced in the 1970s by Rosenthal, as part of their Home|Design range.
Rosenthal has a long history of working with contemporary artists - commissioning them to produce designs for the home.
This vase is credited to Beate Kuhn, a potter / ceramicist who produced many ceramics for Rosenthal. Her work frequently relied on the organic, curvaceous lines which are reflected in this vase.
The vase takes the traditional ‘hourglass’ design, and creates a fluid design, which has more movement than a simple hourglass shape.
The vase was produced in three sizes, and this is the middle size.
