Lovely 1960s stove coffee/teapot . Made in Netherlands with simple cornflour illustration.

It is a design which reflects 1960/70s style - the cornflower is used to give a sense of home and tradition. In a modernist design.

The design reflects American Modernism, and the Cornflower illustration, which imitates an Edwardian woodcut, is by an American commercial  artist: Joseph Baum. ⁣It became a a very popular design.

Produced in the Netherlands from the 1960s, Pyrosil was a subsidiary of Corning Ware USA.
