Beautifully crafted 1960s design from Arabia, Finland. Exquisite illustration which is enhanced by the glaze.
The illustration design is by Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist (1928-2005), and ceramic range is designed by Ulla Procopé. A powerful coupling of creative minds.
Olin-Grönqvist, studied in Finland, and spent her whole professional career at Arabia. Retiring in 1992.
Glazed stoneware capture the sophisticated nature of Scandinavian design.
It is an aesthetic which was coveted and influenced designers like Terence Conran, and Habitat throughout the 1970s.
Little sign of use, and in beautiful condition. Very rare to find a complete coffee set in this design.
