Wonderfully rich glaze, handpainted ceramic tile, with a an exhibited, and humorous, illustrated cockerel. Produced by Fourmaintraux Desvres in France. the tile is stamped on the rear.
In a wrought iron frame, it can be utilised as a trivet or a wall hanging. The tile dismounts from the frame easily but the frame has lefts a small chip to one edge, which is only seen when out of frame.
A great piece of French home decor.
