Rare and graphical strident coffee table by Myer for Terence Conran - A rectangular coffee table, the formica top with a geometric gold and white design by Ben Nicholson over a teak under-shelf and white enamelled metal frame.
Produced by Myer, and retailed by Habitat founder Sir Terence Conran and by Heal’s from the mid-1950s through the 1960s.
Conran commissioned leading artists of the time to create dramatic artworks to be printed on the the new medium of Formica laminate. Alongside Ben Nicholson, John Piper produced a street scene for another version of this coffee table.
A great example of 1950s 60s British design and art.

Some scuffs and scratches to the top and some but without nibbles or chips around the edges.
