A British cocktail cabinet by Turnidge of London, with the maker’s label inside the right door. The design is defined by its gently curved front, long handles and warm wood veneer. The top folds out smoothly, and the sides open to create a generous serving surface.
To the rear are two sliding glass doors. Inside are a mirrored back, shelves for bottles and glasses, a working light and a door-mounted citrus press. The cabinet’s fittings and folding mechanism are in working order.
Why it works
Closed, it is a compact, restrained piece of furniture. Open, it becomes a bar with space to prepare and serve drinks.
