A matching chest of drawers and bedside cabinet from the Uniflex F Range, attributed to Gunther Hoffstead and produced by L. Lazarus & Sons in the mid-1960s.
The design is defined by the contrast between warm teak and pale drawer fronts. Circular handles and silver-coloured legs with dark wooden tips carry the same details across both pieces. The chest has five drawers; the bedside cabinet has an open shelf and one drawer.
Both pieces have been gently cleaned in the studio workshop, retaining their original character and surface variation.
Why it works
Together, they show the F Range as a coordinated approach to the bedroom: practical storage shaped by proportion and a careful use of contrast.
