Golden Christmas Georg Jensen Large Advent Candleholders for Advent, produced in Denmark in the 1980s and 90s, and designed by Andreas Mikkelsen.
Plated gold, they sparkle on the tree, with or without a candle. Beautifully made, a Scandinavian Christmas heirloom.

Andreas Mikkelsen, joined Georg Jensen in 1963, first in admin before progressing to the silversmithing department. He became artistic Director in 1983.
His first love was jewellery and watchmaking. He had a distinguished career, being awarded many national honours, and awards in Europe and America. Andreas Mikkelsen died on July 26th, 2008 at the age of 79.
