The Miranda pressed glass candle holder, designed by Heikki Orvola for Nuutajärvi Finland in the 1970s, is a timeless piece of glassware that showcases both elegance and functionality.

Heikki Orvola, a leading Finnish designer, created the Miranda series in 1971. The candle holder is a part of this iconic series, which features a distinctive textured, semicircle decoration. This design element not only adds visual interest but also plays with the reflection of light, creating a captivating and enchanting effect.

The shape, I think, is anthropomorphic like a Disney character, which only adds to its Design presence.

The Miranda candle holder was manufactured by Nuutajärvi Glassworks, a historic glass factory in Finland. It was in production from 1971 to 1975, making it a sought-after collectible item for glassware enthusiasts and vintage design lovers.

Measuring 19.5 cm in height and 8 cm in diameter, the Miranda candle holder has a weight of 491 g.

The Miranda series by Nuutajärvi Glassworks extended beyond the candle holder. It comprises a range of other glassware pieces, including dessert bowls, a serving bowl, a serving plate, a platter, a sugar bowl, and a creamer. These complementary items allow collectors and design enthusiasts to create a cohesive and stylish table setting or display. Or as an eclectic addition to the home.

Apart from the clear glass version, the Miranda series was also produced in green, brown, and turquoise glass.

With original label in place.
