Evocative of the 1970s and 80s a wonderful Poole Pottery ceramic lamp.
It looks like it is out of a set of BBCs Play for Today series of the time- bohemian, modernist but with a certain English reserve, compared to the studio pottery of Arabia, for instance.
The Paintress mark appears to be that of Carolyn Wills ( Walters) 1972 to 1979. Carolyn painted both Aegean and Delphis patterns. The Poole England stamp on this lampshade was in use from 1966 to 1980
