A wonderfully constructed, simple single drawer modernist table made in the 1970s by a Scottish enterprise company, which helped develop carpentry skills with disadvantaged young people.
The table has an austere Quaker like feel, which adds to its modernist charm. Built to be a small dining table, it also acts as a perfect working desk.
The Formica too is undamaged and has a lovely leaf decoration.
This a beautiful piece of Scottish modernist design history. The Formica pattern remains extremely contemporary looking.
The legs are simply removed for mixing and storage, which is another great benefit of this design
