Vintage Nessino Table Lamp by Angelo Mattioli for Artemide.A beautifully sensuous modernist lamp in a rare colour
The body of the lamp and the diffuser are in polycarbonate. The Nessino is an revisionist version of the winner of the 1st prize at the Artemide/Domus Studio Competition (Milan 1965).
This gray version is a special limited edition produced in 2000.
The lamp has become an icon in lighting design and is now housed in numerous museum collections, including the NY Museum of Modern Art.
The electrical system is original, condition is very good with some signs of wear commensurate with age.
