A beautifully proportioned mid-century cabinet by Meredew, designed with an unusually slim profile that makes it especially versatile in contemporary interiors.
The design is defined by its long horizontal form, sliding doors and lightly elevated frame — giving the cabinet a visual lightness despite its generous storage. The composition balances glazed sliding shelving with a separate enclosed cupboard, giving the piece both openness and practicality.
At only 26cm deep, it works particularly well in narrower spaces where a conventional sideboard would dominate: hallways, dining rooms, landings or behind a sofa.
The oak grain has developed a warm, soft tone over time and has been carefully cleaned and revived in our studio workshop, allowing the natural character of the timber to re-emerge without stripping away its age and texture.
