Sculptural Mid-Century Wooden Table Lamp, c.1960s–70s

A sculptural mid-century wooden table lamp dating from the late 1960s to early 1970s, with clear Scandinavian modernist influence. The design centres on a shaped, fin-like wooden form mounted on a solid circular base, articulated by a slender brass stem.

The composition is quietly dynamic: the carved wooden element introduces movement and shadow, while the overall structure remains clean and architectural. It sits comfortably alongside Danish and Swedish lighting of the period, reading as an object with presence even when unlit.

Unmarked, but typical of the era when many such lamps were produced by small workshops or short-run manufacturers, prioritising material quality and form over overt branding. Pieces like this often survive without attribution, yet with strong design integrity.

The lamp has been carefully cleaned and refreshed in our studio workshop, retaining the original tone and surface character of the wood rather than being over-restored. The brass has been lightly polished to a soft, period-appropriate finish.

Fully rewired and PAT tested. Shown with a filament bulb to emphasise form and material.

A balanced piece — sculptural without being showy, modernist without severity — well suited to both mid-century and contemporary interiors.
