A dramatic vase designed by Milan Metelák - in a beautifully soulful green
Designed by Milan Metelák and made at Harrachov glassworks in Czechoslovakia in 1968.
At the time blue was seen as the more fashionable colour to manufacture, and this green version of the design was produced in less numbers. Green is now rare to find in this design
The ‘green movement’ become a unified political force in the 1970s, and the colour green took on the symbolism we associate with it today.
This design is featured in Mark Hills book "Hi Sklo Lo Sklo" an author active guide to Sklo glass 1960-1970
