The simple leaf illustrations are a precursor to the illustrative styles seen in Scandinavian design in the following decades. The illustration is particularly reminiscent of Rörstrand ceramics designed by Marianne Westman.

A lovey piece of design, which still bares the trace of its Victorian ancestry, but clearly points to a modernist, post WW2 future.
