A vintage Midcentury Vintage Teak veneered vinyl / record cabinet or Hi-Fi cabinet
A really nicely proportioned teak storage unit by Jesper of Denmark, dating from the early–mid 1970s. Jesper were known for their modular home office systems, and this is a classic example — neat, architectural and functional.
• Solid teak front surrounds, with teak veneer sides & back typical of the period
• Original castors allow easy movement (ideal for vinyl collection, books, bedside storage, or even a drinks caddy)
• Two fixed shelves offering well-balanced storage spaces
• Lightly conserved using Osmo Polyx Oil to protect the surface while keeping its warm original tone
This style reflects the Danish Modern approach to furniture design: simple geometry, no ornament, and complete clarity of purpose. It was part of a system — units like these were designed to sit side by side or stack cleanly to build whole storage walls.
